We are assembling a broad coalition of groups to organise a rally in Leeds on Saturday November 15th as part of the Global Day of Action for COP30.
The world has been negotiating emissions reductions for 30 years but made wholly inadequate progress. In this same 30 years, we have all watched CO2 levels rise, and temperatures rise with them.
Our climate is already pushing at the 1.5°C limit we set ourselves. Every new season brings new records and new climate disasters – heat waves, wildfires, floods, storms. This is already affecting harvests making food more expensive as well destroying homes and livelihoods. We cannot continue like this. We need a coherent global plan to cut emissions and stabilise our climate.
Your organisation or group has already been formally invited to join our coalition and support the event. This is for you, the members and supporters, and of course your friends and family.
Please save the date, Saturday November 15th. Please join us with your banners and placards. We need to deliver the strongest, loudest message to our government, and to the global negotiators, that we cannot allow corporate profits to destroy millions of lives around the world.
